[not a garden shop] ("we", "us") is a small store based in Tokyo and Auckland. This page explains what personal information we collect, why, and how it's handled. We've kept it short and in plain language — if anything is unclear, email us at notagardenshop@gmail.com.
Information we collect
When you place an order, our payment processor Stripe collects your name, shipping address, email and payment details directly at checkout — these never pass through or get stored on our own servers. When you sign up to our newsletter, we store your email address only, along with the date you subscribed.
How we use it
Order information is used only to fulfil and ship your order, and to contact you if there's a problem with it. Newsletter emails are used only to tell you about new stock and restocks — we don't send anything else, and we don't sell or share your details with anyone beyond the service providers below.
Who we share it with
Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Our site and newsletter list are hosted on Cloudflare's infrastructure. Both providers process data on our behalf, under their own privacy policies — we don't pass your information to any other third party.
Cookies & tracking
We don't currently run analytics or advertising trackers on this site. Once you're redirected to Stripe to pay, Stripe's own checkout page may set cookies under its privacy policy, separate from ours.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 (New Zealand), you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email notagardenshop@gmail.com and we'll action this within a reasonable time.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the shop grows. Any changes will be posted on this page.
